Landcraft Get It Up! – January 2008

We have recently installed a 31 metre span cycle and footbridge over the river Cynon.

This was carried out with the aid of a 200 tonne crane that lifted the bridge into place over the river. The operation was a complete success with the bridge fitting perfectly on its two large in-situ concrete abutments faced with Pennant Sandstone, which we cast earlier this year as part of the river wall reinstatment work.

The bridge forms part of a larger project that we are undertaking to construct a new park and cycle way at Mountain Ash and it also extends the Cynon Cycle Way.

The overall project is due for completion in March 2008 so get on your bike and enjoy the ride!
