ROLO Approved Health & Safety Awareness Training – October 2007
Eleven members of staff recently attended and successfully completed a Register of Landbased Operatives (ROLO) Approved Health & Safety Awareness Course.
The main health and safety topics covered on the course were current health & safety legislation, R.I.D.D.O.R, Risk Assessments, P.U.W.E.R., Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazardous Substances, C.O.S.H.H., Electricity, First Aid, Noise, White Finger/Arm Vibration (HAVS), Working at Height, Fire, Manual Handling, Signs, Excavations, and L.O.L.E.R. This was an intensive course and at the end of the training there was a test to ascertain that the trainees had taken in the information.
To meet the requirements of an increasing number of our main contractor clients the ROLO cards will now be converted to Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) cards after each trainee has passed a CSCS Health & Safety Touch Screen Test.
