The site is relatively small and is located on a new housing development but the building is an old barn which is being sympathetically converted into a restaurant. Within a restricted working area and access we are working closely with the main contractor to ensure all materials are imported before paving is laid. Our works involve the importation and spreading of 350 tonnes of topsoil for planted and amenity grass areas and 150 tonnes of subsoil for the wildflower areas. Over 1000 shrubs and 7 trees will be planted with all planted areas mulched with bark. 430m2 of turf will be laid and approximately 450m2 of amenity grass seed and 460m2 of wildflower seed will be sown.

Upon completion the scheme will be maintained for 12 months and the trees will be maintained for 24 months.

New ASDA, Melksham, Wiltshire

Following on from successful schemes completed in Newport and Bristol we are again undertaking the soft landscaping works around a new build ASDA for ISG Pearce. We were commissioned early on in the development to undertake vegetation clearance on the site and along the A350 to facilitate highway improvement works. The site is adjacent to a water treatment plant and as part of our works we have felled overhanging trees on Wessex water land and have replanted with new native transplants. Works on the main site comprise of the importation and spreading of topsoil, ground preparation works, planting of rootballed trees and containerised shrubs and spreading of bark mulch. The road verges and site entrances are to be seeded and once complete the site will be maintained for twelve months.

ASDA, Longwell Green, Bristol

We are working for ISG Pearce Ltd on the extension of the existing ASDA store at Longwell green which is apparently the busiest store in the UK. The store is to remain open during the works and so we will be working in close proximity to the general public at all times. The works involve the planting of semi-mature trees within newly created planting areas and in amongst existing mature shrubs, the planting of new container grown shrubs and the mulching and re-mulching of planted areas.
