Sports Projects

Our sports contract experience includes the construction of all weather multi-sport facilities as well as traditional natural turf playing fields.

All weather multi-sport facilities generally consist of an open textured porous macadam surface under which a drainage system will have been installed. Rebound fencing and associated sports equipment will be provided as will floodlighting if required and the playing area will generally be marked with thermoplastic paint. We also have in house experience of installing artificial grass surfaces, both short pile and long pile rubber crumb systems.

When constructing natural turf sports surfaces the works will generally encompass bulk cut/fill operations, land drainage, topsoiling, seeding or turfing and maintenance throughout the establishment period. Our experience at management and foreman level allows us to provide a considered quality service when constructing natural turf sports surfaces.

We are also quite often called upon to undertake both hard and soft landscape works associated with a new sports facility. Through the appointment of Landcraft, clients are often able to employ one contractor to undertake all external works elements, much simplifying the contract administration.
